About Us

We have both spent a number of years working in larger accounting practices but decided that we weren't getting to spend enough time with clients and instead were spending our time managing the office. We both had lots of ideas on how to improve the service offered to clients so decided to set up our own practice so we could put our ideals of high client service into practice.

CAROL LEWIS ACA

After finishing my maths degree at Bristol University I did my accountancy training with Deloitte and obtained my Chartered Accountancy Qualification in 2005. Since then I have worked in Horsham and Brighton with Spofforths LLP, a Sussex based accountancy firm, where I gained a wide range of experience helping smaller businesses in my role as an audit and accounts manager. In 2009 I decided to “go it alone” and set up my own practice with Gail. I also teach evening classes in accountancy at City College which means I can combine my technical knowledge of a practising accountant with the skills to be able to pass on this knowledge to others.

GAIL BAINBRIDGE ACA

I started my working life in the retail sector and after spending a number of years working as a customer service manager for a large retailer I decided it was time for a change and started to pursue a career in accountancy. In 2001 I signed up for an Accounting and Finance degree at The University of Brighton. I completed my accountancy training at Spofforths LLP and was delighted when shortly after qualification I gained a role as accounts and audit manager in their brand new Brighton office. During my 6 years as a manager I enjoyed working with a wide variety of clients from sole traders to large businesses.

"Gail was a pleasure to work with and provided great advice on a wide variety of issues concerning my company finances. She was always happy to explain any aspect of the accounts that I did not follow with boundless patience and made our finance meetings a joy."
