A new penalty regime was bought in by the Revenue in May 2010 to cover businesses that pay their PAYE late. Previously as long as you made a payment every month by the 19th and then paid over the full amount for the tax year by 19th April you would receive no penalty from the Revenue. However, this has now changed!

Did you know the Revenue only requires you to pay over payroll taxes once a quarter if you estimate that your payment will be on average less than £1,500 a month?
